To become a member of The Rotary Club of Syracuse, one must be nominated by a current member in good standing of the Club. Membership in a Rotary club is by invitation only. Members are expected to pay annual dues to their clubs, their Rotary district, and Rotary International, and to actively participate in local or international club activities and projects.

The Rotary Club of Syracuse proudly belongs to Rotary International, a worldwide network of Rotary clubs. With more than 33,000 clubs spread across 200 countries and geographical areas, it brings together 1.4 million business and professional leaders, known as Rotarians. Together, they generously volunteer their time and expertise to create a positive impact in their communities and beyond.

Start the process for membership

To begin, please ensure all sections of the MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION are completed in full. Subsequently, the application will be electronically forwarded to the RCS Membership Committee and will be included in the agenda for the upcoming monthly Club Board of Directors meeting for thorough review, discussion, and voting. Following approval by the Board, a portion of the provided information will be presented to the club for a two-week period, during which members in good standing may offer comments or objections. If no objection is received from a current member in good standing, the applicant will be recommended for induction into the Rotary Club of Syracuse, Inc. at an upcoming weekly Club meeting. Additionally, all information within this application, along with supplementary materials, will be transmitted to Rotary International (RI) for inclusion in their databases and the Rotary Club of Syracuse, Inc. membership database.
